Cambridgeshire orchards

Cambridgeshire's commercial orchards are located around Wisbech in the north, where apples and pears grow on land reclaimed from the sea many centuries ago, and around the villages between Cambridge, Ely and St.Ives, where apples as well as plums are grown on sandy and clay soils. There are also a few orchards south of Cambridge around Meldreth.
