EEAOP’s funding is generated through the sale of heritage fruit trees, from its educational programme, membership fees and general donations. It is supplemented by awards from various grant awarding bodies and corporate sponsorship, usually for specific projects.  Recent and current funders include:

Heritage Lottery Fund
The HLF funded our three year ‘Orchards for Schools’ project which allowed us to supply orchard packs, containing a total of 900 local variety fruit trees, to 150 primary schools in Norfolk, Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire. It also funded the creation of a range of orchard themed publications for schools, including curriculum-linked teaching activities and resources.

People’s Postcode Lottery
Supporters of the People’s Postcode Lottery helped to fund a van for EEAOP with a grant from the Postcode Places Trust.

Leader Programme
The European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development was the majority funder for the refurbishment of a redundant building at our Norfolk headquarters into a new multi-use office space. It has allowed us to create as a modern workspace for existing staff, new staff and volunteers, as well a welcoming environment for visitors.

Busseys
For more than a decade this family-run Norwich-based car dealership has funded the provision of thousands of our heritage fruit trees to hundreds of Norfolk schools.

Finnis Scott Foundation
Helped fund our staff to seek the funds and oversee the completion of our new office space at our Norfolk headquarters.

The Geoffrey Watling Charity
Helped fund the refurbishment costs of our new office space at our Norfolk HQ.

Stansted Airport Community Trust
SACT funded the provision of our local variety orchard packs, containing a total of 84 fruit trees, for 14 schools located in towns and villages in north-west Essex.

East Coast Community Fund
ECCF awarded us funding from the Danish renewable energy company Ørsted, allowing us to provide local variety orchard packs, containing a total of 180 fruit trees, to 30 primary schools located in towns and villages along the Lincolnshire coast.

The Nineveh Trust
Helped fund the design and launch of this website.

Parallel Fabrication Ltd
This east Norfolk-based family-run steel fabrication company supports our conservation work and public engagement.
