Laxton’s Early Crimson

Dessert apple
Raised by Laxton Bros. of Bedford in 1908 and introduced in 1931. A cross of Worcester Pearmain x Gladstone. A small to medium sized apple with a dull green skin almost completely flushed brownish purple. The flesh is coarse and sweet.
