Brownlees Russet

Dessert apple. Introduced by William Brownlees of Hemel Hempstead in 1848. A medium sized russet with a faint brownish flush. Tree has attractive blossom. A fruity, crisp apple. Has good resistance to scab, canker and mildew. It is self-fertile so will set fruit without the need of another apple tree to pollinate it.
