Coe’s Late Red

Culinary plum. Introduced by nurseryman Jervaise Coe of Bury St. Edmunds in the early 1800s. Of unknown parentage but origins may lie in C18th France. Also known by the name ‘St. Martin’ or ‘Coe’s St. Martin’. Small to medium in size, deep red in colour and with a white chalky bloom on its skin.

Pick late Sept and use Sept-Oct.
