D’Arcy Spice

Dessert apple. Found in the grounds of the Hall at Tolleshunt D’Arcy in 1785 and originally sold as ‘Baddow Pippin’. When stored will develop a complex spice-like flavour. Scruffy in appearance with irregular russeting over greenish golden skin. Sometimes has a dull red flush. Quite angular and ribbed in shape. Has good resistance to scab, canker and mildew.
