Early Rivers (ch)

Dessert cherry. Raised at Rivers’ Nursery of Sawbridgeworth, sometime before 1869. Introduced in 1872. A large to very large red skinned and red fleshed sweet dessert cherry. Will crop in June given warm weather. Requires a pollinator as it is self sterile.
Flowering period A.
Pick and use June to July.
