Laxton’s Pearmain

Dessert apple
Raised by Laxton Bros. of Bedford in 1897 and introduced in 1922. A cross between Cellini and Cox’s Orange Pippin. A long, pearmain-shaped, medium sized apple. With green skin flushed and striped deep red. Flesh is crisp, juicy and quite aromatic.
