Pine Apple Russet

Dessert apple. Known in Norfolk since the early 1700s, and popular across East Anglia by the 1800s. Medium to large in size and usually half covered in a thin golden russet. Mainly yellow skinned sometimes with a rose-pink flush. Slightly acidic and coarse flesh tasting a little like pineapple.
