Dessert pear. Raised by Rivers’ Nursery of Sawbridgeworth in 1897. Parentage not known. A short, conical, yellow dessert pear almost totally covered with a brownish grey russet with a rough skin covered in russet dots. Flesh is juicy but a little gritty.
