Events

Apple Days

Autumn fruit harvest celebrations, taking place at a range of venues across the region. These events are all different, reflecting their setting and the host organisation. EEAOP can only visit a few venues each year, where we provide displays and information about that county’s local varieties and we also offer a fruit identification service for visitors.

Please bring at least 3 typical-sized fruit samples of each variety, selected from different parts of the tree, to show variations in colour, shape or size.

You can post samples to us when they are ripe and ready to pick. Please contact us before doing this. As well as supplying your contact details, please enclose any background information about your tree/s that you can (e.g. where the tree is, its likely age, what name you know it by, how you use its fruit, etc.) and, if you can, some photos of the tree/s. You can e-mail us tree photos if this is easier.

This service is free, but donations to support our work are welcome.

Identification can take some time, but we will get back to you

Please note: We cannot identify fruit just from photos. We really do need to see them!

Workshops

We offer a range of orchard-related workshops each year held at different sites across the region. They are led by experts in their field and are ideal for beginners or those wishing to refresh or improve their practical skills.
