Damson Early Rivers

Culinary plum. Raised at Rivers’ Nursery in Sawbridgeworth in 1871 from a stone of the variety St. Etienne.  Received RHS Award of Merit in 1900. Small, round, blue-black with a chalky bloom. Can be heavy cropping.
