Early Favourite

Dual purpose plum. Raised at Rivers’ Nursery in Sawbridgeworth in 1834. Of unknown parentage. Medium, black skinned with russet dots and a chalky bloom. It is partially self-fertile so will set some fruit by itself. Having another plum tree in the same or adjacent pollination group will assist cropping.
